Arsenal Vs Burnley Betting Tips, Predictions & Match Preview

England Premier League | Emirates Stadium | 17th August

Arsenal and Burnley get the second round of Premier League fixtures under way in the early kick-off on Saturday.

Both teams picked up three points in their opening matches and will be hoping to extend their winning starts when they meet at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal come into the match as favorites however Burnley’s impressive 3-0 win against Southampton will have given the team a huge boost.

An Ashley Barnes brace along with a fine solo effort from Johann Berg Gudmundsson helped the Clarets to secure a convincing home win on the opening day.

In Arsenal’s first game of the 2019/20 campaign, a Pierre Emerick Aubameyang strike was enough to see the Gunners claim an away win against Newcastle United.

Arsenal registered 62% of the ball possession against Newcastle while recording almost twice as many passes as their opposition.

The recent head-to-head record between the two teams doesn’t look pretty for Burnley.

Arsenal have won the last ten meetings with the Clarets in all competitions and the last time Burnley won a league game against Arsenal was way back in 1974.

Arsenal have scored three or more goals against Burnley in the team’s last three meetings while conceding just twice in that time.

Youngsters Reiss Nelson and Joe Willock both impressed after being named in Arsenal’s starting eleven and will be hoping that they did enough to be in contention for a starting place on Saturday.

New signings Dani Ceballos, Nicolas Pepe and Gabriel Martinelli all came off the bench to make their competitive debuts for the club and will also be pushing for starts.

Mesut Ozil and Sead Kolasinac will return to the squad after missing the trip to Newcastle over safety concerns.

Hector Bellerin is still recovering from a long-term injury while new sig huning Kieran Tierney will be unavailable for selection due to a groin problem.

Jay Rodriguez featured for Burnley on the opening day following his return to the club while deadline day signing Danny Drinkwater could come into the side to face Arsenal.

Steven Defour and Robbie Brady are both injured and won’t feature against the Gunners.

Arsenal are renowned for being formidable at home but Burnley could cause their unreliable defense some problems so we are likely to see goals at both ends.

PREDICTION : ARSENAL 3-1

ACCUMULATOR TIP : ARSENAL FT WIN
