Arsenal vs Chelsea Premier League Predictions & Betting Tips

Arsenal are battling at the wrong end of the Premier League table. The Gunners can’t take a trick at the moment with Chelsea set to capitalise at Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal are just four points above the relegation zone in the Premier League. Manager Mikel Arteta is under serious pressure with problems on and off the pitch. The Gunners lost 1-0 at home against Burnley after Granit Xhaka was sent off. Arsenal then drew 1-1 draw against Southampton with Gabriel Magalhães seeing red. Arsenal lost 2-1 at Everton despite Nicolas Pépé equalising from the penalty spot.  Arsenal’s last match was a 4-1 home defeat to Manchester City in the League Cup quarter-finals. Alexandre Lacazette equalised before half time but the Gunners conceded three second half goals. Midfielder and captain Granit Xhaka is available after suspension but might have fallen out of favour after constant ill discipline. Expect Bernd Leno to return in goal after Rúnar Alex Rúnarsson’s disappointing display against Man City. Influential forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has missed Arsenal’s last two matches with a calf injury and is doubtful.

Chelsea’s run of 14 games unbeaten in all competitions ended with successive defeats in the Premier League. A 1-0 defeat at Everton saw them record 72% possession and Mason Mount hit the woodwork late on. Frank Lampard’s side then lost 2-1 to Wolves at Molineux after conceding in the last minute of the match. The Blues bounced back in style at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea crushed West Ham 3-0 after creating 2.41-0.28 expected goals. Thiago Silva opened the scoring with Tammy Abraham scoring two goals as he returned to the starting side. Chelsea winger Hakim Ziyech is injured and Callum Hudson-Odoi is doubtful. Full backs Reece James and Ben Chilwell are also doubtful with Emerson and César Azpilicueta set to start. Tammy Abraham competes with Olivier Giroud for a spot up front.

Arsenal are fighting at the wrong end of the Premier League table after a poor start to the season. Chelsea looked back to their best on Monday and have the weapons to get past the Gunners in the London derby. But We are tipping Arteta to get ahead of Lampard tactically by playing a low block and hitting on the counter.
