Atalanta will be looking for their seventh straight Serie A win when they welcome Roma to the Gewiss Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
ATALANTA RESULTS, STATS, SQUAD
Atalanta bounced back from crashing out of the Champions League with a hard-fought 2-1 win over Hellas Verona. They fought back from conceding the opening goal to in-form Verona striker Giovanni Simeone, before midfielders Teun Koopmeiners and Aleksei Miranchuk netting either side of the interval to secure a 2-1 victory. Atalanta remains the form side in Serie A, and they are now up to third in the table – just three points from the summit. The ‘La Dea’ have lost just one of their last twelve games in all competitions with impressive wins over Juventus and Napoli proving them one of the title contenders. Head Coach Gian Piero Gasperini saw his side reach an excellent tally of eight wins from nine league outings on the road last week however, they have not fared half as well on Bergamo soil this term, having won just three of their eight Serie A home matches so far. Only Inter Milan has scored more than Atalanta’s 37 Serie A goals this season or created more than their tally of 30.2 expected goals. Having rotated their squad last weekend, Atalanta will revert to a stronger starting XI against Roma. Duvan Zapata, Remo Freuler, and Ruslan Malinovskyi are set to return to the starting XI. Robin Gosens is out injured.
ROMA RESULTS, STATS, SQUAD

DefenderRoger Ibanez added a second to seal a 2-0 win over Thiago Motta’s struggling side. Roma has won just three of their last seven Serie A games and has lost five of their last seven on the road. They now occupy the sixth position on the Serie A table after 28 points from 17 games. Roma has seen BTTS come through in ten of their last 11 visits to Atalanta. Carles Perez, Spinazzola, Lorenzo Pellegrini, and Stephan El Shaarawy are ruled out with injuries. Gianluca Mancini returns from a ban and could start here. Defender Chris Smalling is a major doubt.
