Barcelona vs Leganes Preview, Predictions & Betting Tips
Barcelona host to Leganes at Camp Nou in La Liga on Tuesday night. Barcelona have the title in their sights while Leganes have serious relegation concerns to deal with.
Barcelona kept their title dreams on track with a hugely impressive 4-0 win against Mallorca at the Estadio de Son Moix on Saturday night. Barca head coach Quique Setien gave fringe players Martin Braithwaite and Ronald Araujo a run out with Braithwaite repaying his boss with a goal. Arturo Vidal, Jordi Alba, and Lionel Messi scored the other goals. Before the coronavirus-enforced break Barca picked up a 5-0 win against Eibar at Camp Nou, lost 2-0 to bitter rivals Real Madrid at the Bernabeu, and claimed a 1-0 home win over Real Sociedad. Winger Ousmane Dembele is still an injury concern for Barca but defender Clement Lenglet is back from suspension. Manager Setien may rotate his side given the amount of games on the horizon. Ansu Fati, Luis Suarez, Arthur, and Samuel Umtiti may all start against Leganes.
Leganes returned to La Liga action on Saturday with a 2-1 defeat to Real Valladolid at Estadio Butarque. Before the break in La Liga action, Leganes’ bid to avoid relegation was given a big boost, drawing 1-1 with Deportivo Alaves at home and beating Villarreal 2-1 away. The defeat to Real Valladolid though was not what they would have wanted and the trip to Barcelona couldn’t have come at a worse time. Midfielder Alexander Szymanowski looks set to miss the trip to Barcelona through injury.
Barcelona head coach Quique Setien has the luxury of rotating with minimal injury concerns. History is heavily in favour of Barcelona in this fixture having scored three or more goals in their last three fixtures against Leganes.
