Bologna vs Juventus Serie A Betting Tips & Preview

Bologna host Juventus Stadio Renato Dall’Ara in Serie A on Monday. Juventus have won their last eight matches against Bologna and should be too strong once again.

Bologna have an outside chance of qualifying for the Europa League. Sinisa Mihajlovic’s side were in poor form before the break however, without a win in three matches. Bologna lost 3-0 at home against Genoa before a 1-1 home draw against Udinese. Their last match was a 2-0 defeat at Lazio. Centre back Mattia Bani, midfielder Jerdy Schouten and striker Federico Santander are all suspended. Winger Andreas Skov Olsen is out with a hamstring injury.

Juventus are one point clear of Lazio at the top of Serie A. Maurizio Sarri’s side have already played two competitive matches after the break, both in the Coppa Italia. The Old Lady drew 0-0 at home against AC Milan to reach the Coppa Italia final. Ronaldo saw an early penalty saved before Milan were reduced to 10 men. Another 0-0 draw came against Napoli in the final at Stadio Olimpico. Goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon made a great save at the death but Juventus lost in a penalty shootout.

Central defender Merih Demiral is injured and fellow centre back Giorgio Chiellini is unfit. Mattia De Sciglio will replace the injuried Alex Sandro at left back. Goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny will start after sitting on the bench during the Coppa Italia matches.  Midfielder Sami Khedira and striker Gonzalo Higuaín are doubtful. Bologna have a horrible record against Juventus since 2012. Juventus have won 12 of their last 13 Serie A matches against Bologna with one draw. Juventus haven’t been able to score in two matches since the restart. They should have a fitness edge against Bologna, especially in the second half and have the weapons to win.
