Borussia Dortmund host Bayern Munich at Signal Iduna Park in a top of the table clash on Tuesday. FC Bayern can virtually secure the Bundesliga title with a win, can the Bavarians step up?

Borussia Dortmund have won seven of their last eight matches against in all competitions. Lucien Favre’s side were eliminated by PSG in the UEFA Champions League but have won both Bundesliga matches after the break. They recorded a convincing 4-0 home win against Schalke with Erling Haaland, Raphael Guerreiro (2) and Thorgan Hazard on target. Borussia Dortmund’s last match was a 2-0 win in Wolfsburg. Raphael Guerreiro opened the scoring with Achraf Hakimi securing the win in the 78th minute.

Central defender Dan-Axel Zagadou, left back Nico Schulz and central midfielder Axel Witsel are injured. Mats Hummels was replaced by Emre Can in Wolfsburg and is doubtful. Winger Jadon Sancho came off the bench in the last two matches as he regains full fitness. Giovanni Reyna came off the bench in Wolfsburg but Captain Marco Reus could be out for the rest of the season with a muscle injury.

Bayern Munich have won 16 of their last 17 matches in all competitions and their last six in the Bundesliga. FC Bayern reached the German Cup semifinals after a 1-0 win at Schalke. The Bavarians won 2-0 at home against Augsburg and 2-0 at Union Berlin after the break. Hansi Flick’s side beat Eintracht Frankfurt 5-2 at home in their previous match. Goals to Leon Goretzka, Thomas Müller and Robert Lewandowski established a 3-0 lead before they conceded two quick goals from corners. They re-established their dominance however with Alphonso Davies making it 4-2 and Serge Gnabry forcing an own goal. 

Central defender Niklas Süle remains injured alongside midfielders Philippe Coutinho and Corentin Tolisso. Defensive utility Javi Martínez was on the bench against Eintracht. Wingers Ivan Perisic and Kingsley Coman started on Saturday. Expect to see Serge Gnabry start here with Flick rotating his squad.
