Chelsea will aim to bounce back from a difficult week when they welcome Leeds United to Stamford Bridge for Saturday’s Premier League fixture.

Chelsea will be lookng to return to winning ways after a disappointing week. Chelsea’s stellar start to the campaign has since plateaued with just one win from their last four games in all competitions. The Blues were held to frustrating draw midweek in the champions league after throwing away the lead twice in a 3-3 thriller with Zenit St Petersburg – which saw them forced to settle for second in Champions League Group H. Manchester City and Liverpool both took advantage of the Blues’ 3-2 slip-up against West-Ham to usurp them in the table, with Chelsea now two points behind the table-topping Citizens and one behind Liverpool as they occupy third spot in the rankings. Chelsea hasn’t lost at home in all competitions this season since matchday 6 of the premier league but they have been held to consecutive 1-1 draws against Burnley against and Manchester United. A defensive dip has seen Thomas Tuchel’s Blues concede seven goals in their last four games. Mason Mount will be looking to score in three successive Premier League games fir the first time in his career. Ben Chilwell, Trevoh Chalobah, Mateo Kovacic, and N’Golo Kante are unavailable for selection. Midfielder Jorginho is a major doubt.

Leeds had to rely on the last-minute heroics of Patrick Bamford to rescue a point in their last premier league outing against Brentford at Elland Road. After Shandon Baptiste and Sergi Canos had cancelled out Tyler Roberts’s opener, Patrick Bamford – making his first premier league appearance in nearly three months due to a serious ankle injury – was in the right place at the right time to prod home a late equalizer. Leeds occupy 15th place in the premier league table on 16 points – six clear of Burnley having played a game more than the Clarets. Bielsa’s side have now lost just one of their last seven Premier League matches. Leeds did manage to hold Chelsea to a 0-0 draw at Elland Road last season, but they lost 3-1 i their last visit to Stamford Bridge. They have only won one of their last 10 meetings with the Blues. Liam Cooper, Robin Koch, Rodrigo, and Kalvin Phillips are unavailable for selection.
