France Nations League

France vs Sweden Nations League Betting Tips, Predictions & Odds

France come into Tuesday night’s closing UEFA Nations League game with their place in the final four already confirmed.
Didier Deschamps’ team drew 0-0 with Portugal in the previous international break before a 2-1 win over Croatia in their next fixture. They then suffered a shocking 2-0 defeat to Finland in a friendly last week. France were able to put that behind them though by sealing their place in the next round of the UEFA Nations League as group winners. It came via a 1-0 win away to Portugal with an unlikely goalscorer winning the game in N’Golo Kante. With there being little riding on this game, France could make a number of changes on Tuesday. Monaco full-back Ruben Aguilar will be pushing for his second cap for his country.

Sweden will be fighting to retain their status as a UEFA Nations League League A team when they head to Paris on Tuesday. Sweden have lost three of their last four matches. Another defeat for them would confirm relegation to League B – unless Croatia lose by a bigger margin to Portugal. The run started with a 2-1 defeat to Croatia before a 3-0 loss to Portugal. Sweden were then beaten 2-0 by Denmark in a friendly. Last time out, they were able to get back to winning ways against Croatia. Goals from Dejan Kulusevski and Markus Danielsson sent them on their way to a 2-1 victory. Sweden are expected to name an unchanged lineup from the win over Croatia, with goalscorers Dejan Kulusevski and Markus Danielsson keeping their place in the team.

France clearly have the stronger squad of the two countries and are deserved favourites coming into this clash. Sweden need to get something from the game to stand a chance of avoid relegation, but have a huge test in their way.
