Real Madrid will be looking to strengthen their grip on the first position in the La Liga table when they travel to face Getafe on Sunday afternoon.

After starting this La Liga campaign winless in their opening 11 games, Getafe has hit a decent run of form in a bid to avoid relegation. Getafe has won three, drawn six and lost nine of their 18 La Liga matches this season to collect 15 points, leaving them in 16th spot in the table, level on points with 18th-placed Alaves. Getafe has conceded at least two goals in 12 of their last 15 La Liga meetings against Real Madrid. Sabit Abdulai, Jose Macias, Vitolo, and Chema Rodriguez are unavailable for selection. Jaime Mata is available following a suspension and could join Carles Alena in midfield.

Real Madrid have excelled on the road this season (W8 D1 L1), averaging 2.50 points per away fixture. Their goalscoring exploits have been simply sensational. Real have scored at least two goals in 13 of their 19 matches, netting a total of 41 strikes already, giving them the most prolific attack in La Liga this season. Real Madrid has won eight of their last nine games in the league and are unbeaten in La Liga since October, so Getafe should be an easy one given the have not lost to them in the league since November 2008. Defender Dani Carvajal is ruled out with injury. Attacking duo Vinicius Junior and Luka Jovic, will miss out following a positive Covid19 test. Eduardo Camavinga will miss out through suspension.
