Inter Milan will seek to extend their scintillating form in Serie A when they host mid-table Torino at San Siro on Wednesday evening.

INTER MILAN RESULTS, STATS, SQUAD

Since the 1-1 draw in the derby against AC Milan, Defending champions Inter Milan has won every Serie A outing to date. A cumulative tally of 19-2 reflects the Nerazzurri’s dominance in Serie A over recent weeks, in a spectacular period when they have gone from seven points short of the summit to four points clear of second-placed Napoli. Their last Serie A outing was a 5-0 thrashing over newly-promoted Salernitana. Ivan Perisic opened the scoring in the 11th minute before Dumfries, Sanchez, Lautaro Martinez, and Gagliardini rounded up the scoring as Inter became the first team to have netted more than 100 Serie A goals in a calendar year since Milan in 1950. Furthermore, they have now scored more than 47 times in the first half of a Serie A season for the first time since that very same year. Only Napoli has conceded fewer than the 15 goals shipped by Simone Inzaghi’s Inter in their 18 league games, and Samir Handanovic has eight clean sheets so far this campaign. Inter Milan has won five consecutive Serie A games to nil, as part of a 10-match unbeaten league run. The Nerazzurri have conceded just six goals at home this season, the joint-best record in Serie A. Joaquin Correa and Matteo Darmian are ruled out with injuries. Midfielder Nicolo Barella is suspended allowing Roberto Gagliardini or Matias Vecino to step in. Striker Lautaro Martinez will return to the starting XI having struck six times in his last five Serie A appearances.

TORINO RESULTS, STATS, SQUAD

Following a run of just one victory from their previous five games, Torino returned to winning ways on Sunday in a hard-fought 1-0 victory over mid-table rivals Verona. Torino has the fourth-worst away record in Serie A, with only strugglers Cagliari, Salernitana, and Spezia earning fewer points on their travels. Torino has scored fewer goals on their travels than any other Serie A side, managing just four goals in eight away trips, of which they’ve won one and lost five. Prior to a 1-1 draw at Cagliari this month, they had gone four away games without finding the net. Simone Verdi and star striker Andrea Belotti remain sidelined therefore Antonio Sanabria continues to start up front for the visitors, despite failing to score in each of his last 14 away matches in Serie A.
