Juventus vs Torino Serie A Betting Tips & Odds

Juventus host local rivals Torino at Allianz Stadium in Serie A on Saturday. Juventus are on target for a ninth straight Scudetto and should have little difficulty accounting for a faltering Torino side.

Juventus are four points clear of Lazio at the top of Serie A with nine matches remaining. The Old Lady are well positioned to win a ninth straight title.  Maurizio Sarri’s side lost in a penalty shootout against Napoli in the Coppa Italia final but returned to Serie A duty with a 2-0 win at Bologna. Paulo Dybala, Cristiano Ronaldo, Gonzalo Higuaín and Matthijs de Ligt then scored in a 4-0 home win against Lecce. Juventus’ last match was a 3-1 win at Genoa. Goals to Paulo Dybala, Cristiano Ronaldo and Douglas Costa established a 3-0 lead, it was a comfortable win after having 64% possession and 18-4 shots. Juventus have won by 2+ goals in six of their last seven home matches in Serie A and will be confident of adding to that tally against local rivals Torino.

Danilo should continue at left back with Mattia De Sciglio and Alex Sandro injured. Centre backs Merih Demiral is injured and Giorgio Chiellini is unfit. Midfielder Sami Khedira is inured.
Expect to see some changes here with Aaron Ramsey, Blaise Matuidi and Douglas Costa in contention to start.

Torino are having a poor season. Manager Walter Mazzarri was sacked in February and replaced by Moreno Longo. It hasn’t gone well for Longo with his side six points clear of the relegation zone. Torino have lost eight of their last 10 matches in Serie A and their last five on the road. They returned from the break with a 1-1 home draw against Parma and 1-0 home win against Udinese.
That was followed by a 4-2 defeat at Cagliari and a 2-1 home loss against Lazio. Andrea Belotti opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the 5th minute but they couldn’t hold on, managing five shots and only one on target. Central midfielder Daniele Baselli remains out with a ruptured cruciate ligament.

Juventus have dominated their cross town rivals since 2015, winning nine of the last 11 matches against Torino. They have won to nil in five of the last six. This is mismatch in terms of class and form. With the added bonus of playing at home, albeit without supporters inside the stadium, Juventus have a healthy advantage before a ball is kicked.
