Leeds vs Chelsea Premier League Predictions & Betting Tips

Chelsea are churning out victories with efficiency and another looks on the cards against misfiring Leeds. Marcela Bielsa’s side have lost four of their last five premier league games and still have a little work to do to stay clear of relegation this season.

Leeds have hit a stumbling block in their season, losing four of the last five matches. Marcelo Bielsa’s side went down 2-0 away to West Ham on Monday, which followed a 1-0 home loss to Aston Villa. Leeds have also lost 4-2 at Arsenal and 1-0 at Wolves during their recent run of form.
The only win in the last five came courtesy of a 3-0 victory at home to Southampton. Leeds’ injury problems are easing with midfielder Kalvin Phillips returning against West Ham. Defender Gaetano Berardi, forwards Rodrigo and Ivan Poveda all featured on the bench at the London Stadium and come into the reckoning. Defender Robin Koch and midfielder Jamie Shackleton are on the road to returns, but may not be risked. Adam Forshaw and Pascal Struijk are still out.

There’s been no stopping Chelsea of late with an unbeaten run under coach Thomas Tuchel extended to 11 games on Monday with a 2-0 win over Everton. The Blues have now won eight of their last 10 matches in all competitions and have kept nine clean sheets in their last 12 matches.
It has been an efficient run of form at that has seen them win 1-0 at Liverpool and away to Atletico Madrid by the same scoreline in the UEFA Champions League. Saturday’s game may be a distraction ahead of the second-leg of that tie against Atletico, but Chelsea are playing with enough confidence to get the job done at Elland Road. Tammy Abraham is Chelsea’s only doubt as he continues to struggle with injury. Thomas Tuchel may opt for changes with next week’s Champions League second leg against Atletico Madrid in his mind.

Leeds have the upper hand in this fixture with 39 wins to Chelsea’s 35. There have also been 29 draws during that time. Chelsea won the first meeting between the sides in eight years when coming out 3-1 winners at Stamford Bridge in December. Patrick Bamford put Leeds in front before Olivier Giroud, Kurt Zouma and Christian Pulisic scored for Chelsea. Chelsea can come through a test at Elland Road and maintain their excellent run of form. Under 2.5 goals is value, while a another 1-0 away win is predicted.
