Leicester City vs Tottenham Preview, Predictions & Betting Tips
England Premier League | King Power Stadium 21 Sept 2019 12:30
Goals are expected as Leicester City host Tottenham Hotspur in an English Premier League clash at the King Power Stadium. Over 2.5 goals has been a common feature in matches between these teams and a similar outcome is backed this weekend.
Leicester are coming off a 1-0 defeat at Manchester United last time out in the EPL. They fell behind early in the first half and despite creating a number of chances, could not find a way back into the contest. The Foxes have been inconsistent this season having claimed just two wins in their opening five matches.
One of the major problems for Leicester has been their poor defence having conceded in their last four Premier League fixtures. Caglar Soyuncu and Jonny Evans are expected to continue in defence despite their shaky start to the season while star man Jamie Vardy is the man to lead the line having scored three goals this season.
Tottenham head to Leicester off the back of a 2-2 draw at Olympiacos in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday. They took a two-goal lead in the first half through Harry Kane and Lucas Moura but were pegged back by the Greek club. Son Heung-Min was a second half substitute in the Champions League and is set to return to the starting lineup having netted a brace against Palace. He is likely to feature in attack alongside Lucas Moura and Harry Kane, who were both on target in Greece.
As always, Jamie Vardy will be the man tasked with carrying Leicester’s attacking threat as he looks to add to his three league goals. He should trouble the Tottenham backline with his pace and directness.
Tottenham have multiple goal threats in their team with Son Heung-Min and Lucas Moura both impressing. Harry Kane could be the one to watch, however, having scored 13 goals in his last eight matches against Leicester City.
PREDICTION : DRAW 2-2
ACCUMULATOR TIP : BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE , LEICESTER DOUBLE CHANCE, CHANCE MIX DRAW OR OVER 2.5
