Leicester vs Manchester City Preview, Premier League Predictions & Betting Tips
England Premier League | King Power Stadium | 22nd February 2020 18:30
Goals have not been a problem for Leicester and Manchester City who are set to serve up a goalfest in a Premier League fixture on Saturday. This clash is set to favour the attackers with Leicester’s Jamie Vardy tipped to continue his scoring run against City.
Leicester were held to a 0-0 draw at Wolves in their previous Premier League fixture where they failed to take their chances in an open encounter. The Foxes remain third on the table but have looked off colour lately with two wins and as many draws in their last five matches. Brendan Rodgers’ men still have their scoring touch at home having found the net six times in their last two matches at the King Power Stadium. They recorded a 4-1 victory over West Ham and a 2-2 draw against Chelsea on their home patch with eight of Jamie Vardy’s 17 goals this season coming at the King Power Stadium. Wilfred Ndidi continues to nurse an injury and is set to miss Saturday’s match. Hamza Choudhury is also suspended following a red card against Wolves.
Manchester City’s title challenge is over following a 2-0 defeat to Tottenham in their last Premier League away fixture. They will be disappointed to have lost having mustered more attempts on target. Pep Guardiola’s men have served up some high scoring encounters this season with a 6-1 victory at Aston Villa and a 4-0 FA Cup triumph over Fulham among their recent results. Man City have no new major injuries or suspensions ahead of Saturday’s match.
Jamie Vardy will be the one to watch for Leicester with the striker looking to add to his 17 goals this season. He has also found the net six times in his last 10 matches against Man City and will be confident of getting past the City defence. Sergio Aguero has scored 16 goals for Man City this season and will carry the team’s attacking threat on Saturday. He also has five goals in six matches against Leicester and should trouble the Foxes backline.
PREDICTION : MANCHESTER CITY 3-1 WIN
ACCUMULATOR TIP : CHANCE MIX BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE OR OVER 2.5 GOALS
