Liverpool vs Leicester Premier League Betting Tips, Predictions & Odds

Liverpool face Leicester in the Premier League on Sunday. Premier League leaders Leicester will be looking to take full advantage of their opponent’s defensive injuries.

Liverpool went into the international break off the back of a strong run of form in all competitions. The Reds have won five of their last six games. The run included an away win at Ajax and home wins over Sheffield United, Midtjylland and West Ham at Anfield.
They then thrashed Atalanta 5-0 away from home in the Champions League in what was an outstanding result for Jurgen Klopp’s side. Last time out, they earned a hard-fought point away to Manchester City in a 1-1 draw. Mohamed Salah gave Liverpool the lead before Gabriel Jesus’ equaliser. Liverpool’s extensive injury list sees first-choice defenders Virgil van Dijk, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Joe Gomez all ruled out. Fabinho and Thiago both have knocks, while Andy Robertson, Jordan Henderson and Rhys Williams all missed games whilst on international duty.

Leicester entered the international break on a superb run of form in all competitions, winning six matches in a row. The Foxes won all three of their Europa League group games against Zorya, AEK Athens and Sporting Braga. Their 100% record in that time in the Premier League started with impressive away wins over Arsenal and Leeds. Last time out, they beat Wolves 1-0. Jamie Vardy scored the only goal of the game from the penalty spot, giving him eight league goals from seven appearances this season. Leicester will again be without midfielder Wilfred Ndidi. Defenders Ricardo Pereira, Timothy Castagne and Wesley Fofana are doubts, while Caglar Soyuncu is ruled out.

The injuries on show with both teams really throw the dynamics of this game into chaos. Liverpool have enjoyed this fixture in recent years, but may have one injury too many to continue their strong run over Leicester. Both sides have excellent records coming into this fixture, as well as multiple injuries to contend with. We are backing a narrow liverpool win.
