Man United vs West Brom Premier League Betting Tips, Predictions and Odds

Manchester United host West Brom at Old Trafford on Saturday. Both teams are in desperate need of a win to get their respective seasons going after a poor start.

The Red Devils restored some faith with a 3-1 win at Goodison Park against Everton last time out. Edison Cavani scored his debut goal, while Bruno Fernandes netted a brace.  The win was much needed for Manchester United, who suffered consecutive defeats against Arsenal (1-0) in the league and Istanbul Basaksehir (2-1) in the UEFA Champions League.  The Red Devils find themselves sitting in 14th position after eight matches – uncharted territory for the 20-time champions. Marcus Rashford is in doubt after returning home early from international duty with a shoulder injury. Mason Greenwood could also miss due to illness. Rashford’s injury could see Cavani make his first Premier League start. Luke Shaw will once again be unavailable due to a hamstring injury, with his return expected to come in December.  In positive news for the Red Devils, new recruit Alex Telles could be available after he tested positive for coronavirus in October.

West Brom are yet to notch up a win in the English Premier League this season. The Baggies only have three draws to their name and sit in 18th position after eight matches.  Prior to the international break, the Baggies went down 2-0 to fellow battlers Fulham before losing 1-0 to Tottenham after Harry Kane scored the winning goal in the 88th minute. West Brom are hopeful of welcoming back defender Branislav Ivanovic and forwards Callum Robinson and Matheus Pereira.  The trio have been isolating for last two weeks after testing positive for coronavirus and will be in contention should they return a negative test.

As poor as Manchester United have been, they should have too much class in attack for West Brom, who have conceded the most goals in the league.  Old Trafford has been anything but a fortress this season, but the Red Devils should get the job done against West Brom.
