Manchester United will be aiming to maintain their unbeaten start to the Premier League season when they host Aston Villa at Old Trafford on Saturday.

The Red Devils are currently third in the Premier League table, wins against Leeds, Newcastle, Wolves, West Ham, and a draw against Southampton put them level on points with Chelsea, having collected seven points from their opening five games of the campaign. Manchester United will be looking to overcome a midweek League Cup exit. They fell to a 1-0 defeat against West-Ham in a match they completely dominated with 61% possession and 27 shots. Manchester United has scored 13 (2.6 goals per game) so far this season and conceded just four. Head Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will once again be without the services of Marcus Rashford and Amad Diallo due to long-term injuries. Edinson Cavani is working up fitness and is a doubt. Cristiano Ronaldo, Paul Pogba, and David De Gea will start after being rested mid-week.

Aston Villa has had a mixed start to the 2021-22 Premier League season, winning two, drawing one, and losing two of their five matches to collect seven points, which has left them in the 10th spot in the table.  Aston Villa were knocked out of the EFL Cup on Wednesday night, losing on penalties at Stamford Bridge after playing out a 1-1 draw with Chelsea. Their last Premier League outing was an impressive 3-0 victory over Everton. Matty Cash opened the scoring with his first goal for the club before a Lucas Digne’s own goal to double their lead. Leon Bailey scored his first goal for the club to seal the three points. Head Coach will be without a number of first-team players. Morgan Sansone, Kortney Hause, Matt Targett, and John McGinn are out due to injuries. Defender Axel Tuanzebe is ineligible to face his parent club.
