France Ligue 1 | Allianz Riviera | 18th October 2019 19:45

PSG are backed to be too strong for Nice in their French Ligue 1 clash at the Allianz Riviera. The champions have won their last three matches across all competitions.

Nice suffered a 1-0 defeat at Nantes in their last outing before the international break. They held off the hosts for much of the contest and looked on course to claim a point before conceding six minutes from time. Les Aiglons have had a rough time with just one win in their last five Ligue 1 matches. Patrick Vieira’s men have lost two of their last three matches which has them at odds of 8.50 for an unlikely upset against the champions with a draw set at odds of 4.50.

PSG claimed a 4-0 home victory against Angers in their last Ligue 1 outing. Summer signings Pablo Sarabia and Mauro Icardi gave the Parisians a two-goal lead in the first half while Idrissa Gueye and Neymar added further goals after the break. The Parisians are still setting the pace in the French topflight and head into Friday’s clash off the back of three straight wins in all competitions. Thomas Tuchel’s men are valued at 1.40 for a win.

Neymar limped off on international duty and the Brazilian is doubtful for Friday’s match. Edinson Cavani and Kylian Mbappe remain sidelined with Injury. Mauro Icardi appears to be finding his feet in Paris and should start in attack alongside Pablo Sarabia and the in-form Angel Di Maria.

Nice have not been at their best going forward with Kasper Dolberg still finding his feet at the club flowing a summer move from Ajax. The Danish striker has just two goals this season while partner Ignatius Ganago has found the net once in nine matches.
Mauro Icardi is coming into his own at PSG having scored in his last two matches but it is the defence which has caught the eye for the visitors with eight clean sheets in nine matches. The duo of Thiago Silva and Presnel Kimpembe will be confident of shutting out the struggling Nice attack.
