PSG vs Istanbul Basaksehir Champions League Betting Tips, Predictions & Odds

Paris Saint-Germain host Istanbul Basaksehir in the UEFA Champions League at the Parc des Princes on Tuesday. PSG are guaranteed to progress if they take all three points while Basaksehir have nothing to play for, but can they ruin the party in Paris?

PSG have bounced back well from two defeats in three matches in October. They lost 2-1 away to RB Leipzig in the Champions Leauge and 3-2 at Monaco in league action. PSG responded by beating RB Leipzig at home in a crucial UEFA Champions League match thanks to a penalty by Neymar. They then drew 2-2 at Bordeaux and beat Manchester United 3-1 away with Neymar scoring twice and Marquinhos getting the other. In their last match, Colin Dagba, Moise Kean and Kylian Mbappe were all on target as PSG won 3-1 at Montpellier. PSG have four injuries for this game as long-term injury victims will miss out once again. Juan Bernat is missing at left-back and Thilo Kehrer at centre-back. On the wings, both Julian Draxler and Pablo Sarabia are out with hamstring injuries. Neymar was rested against Montpellier and Kylian Mbappe only played the final 12 minutes in order to be fresh for this match.

In the UEFA Champions League, Istanbul Basaksehir have lost four matches and beaten Manchester United 2-1 at home for their only points so far.  Basaksehir’s last Champions League match was an absolute cracker at home against RB Leipzig. Unfortunately they still lost 4-3 as Ivan Can Kahveci scored a hattrick. Istanbul Basaksehir have had a dip in form in the Turkish Super Lig and are three matches without a win. They sit in ninth spot with four wins in 11 matches.  In their last match, Basaksehir drew 1-1 at Yeni Malatyspor with Giuliano finding the back of the net. Martin Skrtel is missing at centre-back due to suspension for this match. The Turkish outfit are also missing three other defenders in Junior Caicara, Boli Bolingoli and Alexandru Epureanu. Basaksehir will be without Edin Visca and Ifran Can Kahveci in midfield. The latter scored a hattrick in their last UEFA Champions League match.

Paris Saint-Germain hold an 1-0 advantage over Istanbul Basaksehir in their single meeting with no draws. Paris Saint-Germain will want to win this match and not rely on Manchester United doing them a favour at RB Leipzig. PSG will attack an Istanbul Basaksehir team who have nothing but pride to play for and have been conceding plenty of goals of late.
