Real Madrid vs Real Valladolid Preview, Predictions & Betting Tips
Spain La Liga | Santiago Bernabeu | 24th August 18:00
It is the first home match of the season for Real Madrid as they face Real Valladolid in a La Liga clash at the Santiago Bernabeu. Los Blancos should be too strong and cover the -2 handicap market with Karim Benzema to find the net having scored nine goals in his last 10 La Liga matches.
Real Madrid began their La Liga campaign with a 3-1 victory at Celta Vigo. Karim Benzema opened the scoring in the first half while Lucas Vazquez and Toni Kroos added further goals before the hosts pulled one back in added time.
With Barcelona suffering a defeat in their opening fixture, Los Blancos will be hoping to steal an early march in the title race. Karim Benzema was fantastic for Madrid last season and appears to have picked up where he left off. Summer signing Eden Hazard remains sidelined with injury while Luka Modric is suspended following a red card against Celta Vigo.
Real Valladolid were also victorious in their opening fixture as they triumphed 2-1 at Real Betis. Sergi Guardiola opened the scoring in the second half while Oscar Plano netted the winner one minute from time after the hosts had drawn level.
Valladolid may have beaten 10-man Real Betis last time out but they face a much bigger test against the title chasers. Their recent trips to the Santiago Bernabeu have ended in defeat.
Karim Benzema has scored nine goals in his last 10 La Liga matches and will be the one to watch for Madrid. He also scored twice against Valladolid last season and will be confident of getting a few goals on Saturday.
PREDICTION : REAL MADRID 4-1
ACCUMULATOR TIP : OVER 2.5 FT GOALS
