Sevilla vs Real Betis Betting Preview, La Liga Predictions & Betting Tips

Sevilla host Real Betis at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium as La Liga makes its return. It has been three months since either of these teams played competitive football but I’m backing Sevilla’s quality to shine through at home.

Sevilla have been in fine form this season, currently sitting third on the La Liga table behind Real Madrid and Barcelona. They will need to maintain positive results with only two points between third and sixth. Prior to the break Sevilla’s form had been solid with a 3-0 away victory over Getafe and a 3-2 victory at home to Osasuna. Between those two games Sevilla drew 0-0 with CFR Cluj at home in the UEFA Europa League to advance on away goals. In their final match before the break Sevilla managed a credible 2-2 draw away from home against Atletico Madrid. Luuk de Jong gave Sevilla an early lead but they were pegged back by two quick goals by Madrid. Late in the first half Lucas Ocampos equalised with his 10th goal of the season. Central midfielder Nemanja Gudelji will miss the clash through suspension following his booking against Atletico Madrid.

Real Betis currently occupy 12th spot on the La Liga table. It has been a solid season thus far for Betis and, highlighted with their 2-1 victory at home over Real Madrid just before the break.
Recent matches have seen Betis’ ability to score and concede with games generally going over the 2.5 goal mark. Prior to their victory over Real Madrid and drew 3-3 at home to Mallorca. Winger Juanmi has been injured since September 2019 and remains out. Midfielder William Carvalho is unlikely to feature against Sevilla.

Real Betis have scored 38 goals this season showing just how potent they are moving forward. To add context that is the sixth most goals of everyone and only one less that Sevilla, a team nine places above them. Sevilla however will look to take advantage of the Betis forward-thinking game plan and catch them on the counter. Expect an exciting match with goals aplenty.
