Wolves vs Leicester Premier League Predictions Preview
England Premier League | Molineux Stadium | 14th February 2020 21:00
Wolves and Leicester are set to serve up an open encounter in their Friday night English Premier League fixture at Molineux. Both teams have good quality going forward and are tipped to cancel each other in a match tipped to produce goals.
Wolves are coming off a 0-0 draw at Man United in their previous Premier League fixture. They created chances but failed to take advantage of any of their five efforts on target. Nuno Espirito Santo’s men are just six points off the UEFA Champions League places having gone unbeaten in 11 of their last 15 Premier League matches. They have struggled defensively and head into Friday’s match with two clean sheets in their last 11 matches. Winger Adama Traore is currently nursing a slight shoulder problem but is expected to recover. Ruben Vinagre remains the only major injury absentee for Wolves with the left back ruled out with a thigh problem.
Leicester played out a draw in their last Premier League outing as they were held 2-2 at home by Chelsea. They fought back from behind to take the lead through Harvey Barnes and Ben Chilwell but conceded the equaliser midway through the second half. Like Wolves, Leicester have struggled at the back lately, keeping just one clean sheet in their last 10 Premier League matches. Brendan Rodgers’ men have fared better on their travels and have gone unbeaten in six of their last eight away matches. Midfielder Wilfred Ndidi has recovered from a knee injury and is expected start. Nampalys Mendy, Wes Morgan, Matty James and Daniel Amartey are all set to miss the trip to Wolves due to injury.
Adama Traore has been in superb form for Wolves with the winger often troubling defenders with his pace and power. Striker Raul Jimenez carries the goal threat for the team and has scored three goals in his last three matches. Leicester also have quality in attack, particularly with Jamie Vardy, who is the top scorer with 17 goals. Ayoze Perez and Harvey Barnes also carry a threat in attack and are likely to prove a handful.
